Triumph Spitfire - Motor mania

Not having the prejudice of others I would like to ask some advice! I have a 1500 lump in my Midget (1975) and we welcome any advice, websites etc. as to how best to modify it for longevity as well as power. I'll consider anything apart from swapping it.
