Triumph Spitfire - 1500 engine

Apart from adding an oil cooled, electric fan and removing the normal fan, is there any way of increasing power from the standard 1500 unit?

4-2-1 exhaust manifold,richer needles, and K&N airfilters are recommended by Triumph Tune ( Moss ).
I fitted these and my Spit 1500 certainly revs more freely mid range.
Several companies supply Stage 2 & 3 cylinder heads - but perhaps the best improvements I've percieved have come from a): remove spare wheel & b): use redex lead replacement addative with octane boost.
