Triumph GT6 - GT6 Gearbox

Hello there

Last night the synchros went on 2nd and 3rd gears of my gearbox (MKIII GT6 - Rotoflex). I have heard that g/b's are known to be the weak point of these cars.

Is it possible to just swap it for another model of gearbox such as a dolomite sprint or TR6 with out too much engineering work?

I know there is a firm that supplies a kit for Toyota gearboxes, but at about £1000, this is a bit pricey.
