MG TD TF 1500 - eBay Rare Original Parts

For all of us who have seen some outrageous sums paid for parts on eBay:

Inspired by a recent eBay auction of a 'rare original' Lucas battery that fetched $1,100 on eBay, Tony Gordon trekked out to his garage in search of a 'pricelss' part to offer to the Ebay community which might put him into a better financial bracket.

He is offerring a 'Rare Original Equipment TR6 oil filter in Original Box' -- look for eBay item #190183325605. On the TR and 6-pack lists he then invited questions regarding the part. Be sure to read ALL the comments- I hope you find them as humorous as I.

I usually spend more time reading this forum than writing, but knowing how some of us peruse eBay.....

Now, I guess I should go into the basement to seek my fortune.......

A thousand pardons, but I fail to see the humor in this. If I could afford more than $9.99, and if this filter would fit my '53 TD, I would be certain to buy it - in anticipation of myriad concours awards it most certainly would bring me. How can we ignore such a splendid opportunity to put our cars "over the top" in concours judging - which, of course, drives our entire existence?

I have five [5!] original XPAG oil filters in their original brown cardboard boxes. They're autographed on the boxes - the signatures are a bit fuzzy, but it appears that they've been signed either by Cecil Kimber, Winston Churchill, or the Duke of Edinburugh.

I'll reluctantly trade them for a restored medium-grey or tawny-brown Series 1.5 E-Jag coupe. If your Jag has a Lynx 5-speed conversion, I'll even throw in a set of original TD hubcaps.
