MG TD TF 1500 - Derrington Exhaust Manifold

I'm looking for a Derrington Exhaust Manifold for my 1952 mg td XPAG.
C Early

C. Early I have a repro of a Derrington manifold. My understanding is it was made in Scotland. I bought it from Abingdon Spares. It has never been on an engine.
I'm going a different route now with a Manley Ford SS manifold. So it's available.
Any interest?
Cheers,
Bob

Bob, as you go along with the installation of the Manley Ford SS manifold, what about photographically documenting all the details for us? I feel that there are many of us with great interest.
Jim Merz

Jim The plan is to rebuild my spare engine and when I change the engine in the TD use the SS manifold. So it will be well through the summer before I get to the installation.

However, Manley Ford sent me some photo's of a manifold on an engine. You could contact him and ask him to send you the photo's he has.
Cheers,

Bob

Thanks Bob.

Jim,

I saw some of Manley's extractor manifolds at Mid-Ohio last October. He can supply them in various configurations including one that you'd probably be interested in that will work with a supercharger (not all will).

I plan on buying one eventually.

Hi Gene, My desire for a split manifold or extractor is complicated, perhaps making it inpossible, by the fact that my car is a RHD TD.
Let us know via photos if you ever get one for your car.

Jim,

I'll be glad to post photos when I get it but I'm in the same situation as Bob Jeffers above...

Remember too that I have a TC (also RHD) and also very tight in that area. Since Manley says they'll work for me I would imagine they'd work for you too.

Jim and others,

If its a split manifold, than I can state categorically, that such at one time, was fitted to a T-Series.

Here in Rockburn, we have a gal with a TF fitted with a split exhaist manifold, and these are cast, not fabricated.

I've posted this before, but the appended image shows what I'm talking about.

Gord, I found some of the cast split manifolds in the past but they measured too big for use with a RHD. (Much to my sorrow)
