Since I have a TD very similar to yours and since I have 40 years in marketing I have some suggestions for you to consider.

First, you should personalizxe your TD in greater depth. What's the history, who were the individuals involved in it's life and what has been your personal experience with the vehicle.

Second, provide an organized listing of the improvements you have made, what else you woud do if you were to keep it and a reasonable but personal explanation of why it's for sale.

Third, forget the OBO (which a gold plated invitation to undercut your price) and state the price you expect. I judge $25,000 is reasonable but you might consider underwriting the transport cost.

Fourth, concentrate on offering the car through MG Clubs in North America. Get a listing and contact the web master of each asking how he can hel[p you bring yoour vehicle to the attention of his membership. In so doing you concentrate your appeal to those who know and understand MG's. This comment will bring down the rath of those who use Ebay but that sure in hell is not where I would start.

Finally, you have already observed that I enjoy givnig unsolicited advice. In truth, I enjoy receiving it MUCH less.

With warm regards,

I am sorry to hear that Rick & Amy are moving on and that they are selling their beautiful TD. I've had the privilage of driving this exquisite example of a TD and can say it is in wonderful condition and can only hope that it will find a good home. Best wishes to both of them on their new journey.

Thanks Dick for the information

LaVerne - I think you are asking us not Dick where we are headed -
We are heading down to Central America - We will be leaving in about a year - and I know that sand and Salt water aren't the best for it - plus the roads are very hard - I would hate for it to deteriorate -

Thanks George for the kinds words - I know you liked driving her, she is a very solid car. Hope to see you around at some of the shows.

Excuse the error - I had the wrong email address attached - it is now current.

Richard.

As I understand it, there might be some old Datsuns scattered about in the fields adn behind the sheds down there,,,, might be an oppertunity to get into the Datsun 5 speed recycle business as a side job !!

I wish you good luck in your future move,
