MG MGF Technical - temperature control

hi can someone tell me why the middel control knob will not
turn the heat up or down in mgtf feels very loose

If that is the one that controls the water temperature it is a simple tap operated by a Bowden cable which has probably pulled out of the screw fitting at the back - you can get at it by removing the side cheeks by the foot well in the centre BUT it is a bit of a squeeze.
