MG MGF Technical - Alarm problem

I recently bought a 1.6 2003 mgtf and when you arm the alarm, after about 5 seconds it goes off. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Paul,

Two possible causes I can think of would be...

1. A microwave etc. that is causing interference with the volumetric sensors in the car - does the alarm go off anywhere, i.e. does the alarm still go off in the middle of no-where?

2. The door latch mechanism is also known to be problematic - I had this very problem myself and it was rectified once the door latch had been replaced.
