MG MGF Technical - Air Intake Promblem?

I have a 2001 MGF & have just come back from a nice run in the sunshine :) .. Anyway, putting the car away I noticed the air-intake on the drivers side kick in, to cool the engine down. I've just checked the one on the passenger's side & it doesn't appear to be sucking in air at all!

Could someone please tell me what the problem could be.. I'm a complete novice here.. :(

Completely normal - the fan is only on the driver side. The passenger side is a good place to put the air filter intake pipe.

There is no fan on the passenger side of the car.
