MG MGA - Brake adjuster-adjuster

Following a comment made by Mike Ellsmore on an earlier thread, I'm about to fit spacers between the mask and the brake cylinders(probably about 3mm), to take up some of the adjusment that was presumably lost by the fitting of shoes with bonded linings, as opposed to the ones that were riveted which were apparantley thicker.
I have just replaced the cylinders and shoes, but I have both wheels(rear)almost fully adjusted to get a brake, any comments!
