MG MGA - ? for Malcolm Asquith

Malcolm, in your A60 manual, did it have single valve springs?

Both the A60 Cambridge and the A60 Van gas engine had single springs according to my reference book. The diesel powered A60 Van had dual spring valves. My reference is a Tranco Catalog No.28 of valves, guides and springs.

For the A55 it says:

Single springs.

Free length 2 1/64 inches (51.2mm)
4.5 working coils.

There is nothing to say that any changes were made with the A60.

OK thanks guys. Trying to verify the head on my rebuild. Swapped it for an early B head anyway.
